about the project Korrie Besems lived in the municipality of Dinkelland for a month. She discovered the richness of Dinkelland’s traditions that are specific to the area, such as the sport of ‘klootschieten’ and the baking of ‘krentenwegge’. Besems concludes her research - in writing, photographs and (sound) impressions on a CD - with 10 proposals to either ‘refresh’ existing traditions or make new ones.

This project is part of ‘Proeftuin Twente’, a project that researches the cultural characteristics of Twente in order to use the results for future developments in the area. For the period of a month 14 artists lived in the 14 municipalities of Twente in a mobile laboratory.
